A Profile is comprised of a collection of Alerts that act on behalf of a set of Monitors. This tutorial will walk you through configuring a Profile to be responsible for a single Monitor. However, Profiles can also be configured to be responsible for many Monitors, or entire Groups of Monitors.

This tutorial assumes that your computer meets the minimum requirements to run ipMonitor 8, and that you have the ipMonitor software currently installed on your system.
To get the most out of this tutorial, ensure that you have at least one Monitor already configured within the ipMonitor software. If you have not yet configured a Monitor, refer to the tutorial entitled Add an HTTP Monitor.
