ipMonitor allows you to customize the appearance of Email and Historical Reports. By default, Reports are generated using HTML to display the ipMonitor standard layout, which centers the Report on the page and adds a border and shadow for a more three-dimensional look.

ipMonitor 7 supports the use of both HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to override current styles and enable you to have greater control over the customized look of your Reports. Use HTML and CSS to insert your corporate heading at the top of the Report, easily change the size and color of fonts, add a background color, insert images, position text, etc.

Create your own visual design for ipMonitor's Historical and Email Reports by performing the following steps:

1. Click the "Automation" menu option, then select "Report Generator". From the Report Generator screen, click the "Historic Reports Generator" link.
2. In the Customization section at the bottom of the screen, select "Specify the Exact HTML to insert before and after the content" from the drop-down menu of the "HTML Header and Footer" option.
3. Input your CSS template style and HTML code in the "HTML Header" field, "HTML Footer" field, or both.
4. Click "OK" or "Apply" to save your changes.
5. View the appearance of your customized Reports by sending a test email from any email Report configuration screen.

The customization changes made here will also affect Email Report Generators. Any changes will affect only future Reports; Reports are not changed retroactively.
