ipMonitor can be configured to alert Administrators on specified intervals to confirm that the ipMonitor Service is functioning correctly.

Monitoring your resources around the clock is critical. If the ipMonitor server becomes unavailable for a period of time, you need to be aware of the failure. Configuring ipMonitor to send uptime messages at regular intervals ensures that you're always informed of ipMonitor's operational status.

To Enable Uptime Messages:

1. Click the Settings menu option, then select Server Settings from the drop-down menu.
2. Enter the email address of the recipient in the Send an Email To field within the On Process Start section. Multiple recipients may be added by clicking the And... button.
3. To enable repeated uptime notifications, click the Enable button and enter the desired number of hours between uptime messages in the Continue to Send an Email every X Hours field.
4. Click OK to save your settings.

Enabling uptime notification messages also ensures that an email will be sent to every recipient listed each time the ipMonitor Service loads.

To additionally configure email notifications to be sent out upon Service shutdown, proceed with the following:

1. Click the Settings menu option, then select Server Settings from the drop-down menu.
2. Click the Enable button within the On Process Stop section, then enter the email address of the recipient in the Send an Email to field. Multiple recipients may be added by clicking the And... button.
3. Click OK to save your settings.
