Enabling Communication through an HTTP Proxy Server

Many corporations use proxy servers to manage various communication protocols and add a heightened level of security to their network environment.

ipMonitor provides proxy support for a number of monitoring features, making it easy to monitor resources located outside the firewall through your organization's HTTP proxy server.

To Enable Proxy Support:

  1. Log in to the ipMonitor Administration web interface.
  2. Click the Settings menu option and select Server Settings.

  1. Enter the URL and port number of the HTTP proxy server in the HTTP Proxy Location field.

Note: If your proxy server is SSL-enabled, enter the URL and port number in the HTTP Proxy Location (SSL) field.

  1. Click the Select... button to choose or create a Credential to be used when connecting to the proxy server.
  2. Click OK to save your settings.
