Many corporations use proxy servers to manage various communication protocols and add a heightened level of security to their network environment.
ipMonitor provides proxy support for a number of monitoring features, making it easy to monitor resources located outside the firewall through your organization's HTTP proxy server.
To Enable Proxy Support:
- Log in to the ipMonitor Administration web interface.
- Click the Settings menu option and select Server Settings.
- Enter the URL and port number of the HTTP proxy server in the HTTP Proxy Location field.
Note: If your proxy server is SSL-enabled, enter the URL and port number in the HTTP Proxy Location (SSL) field.
- Click the Select... button to choose or create a Credential to be used when connecting to the proxy server.
- Click OK to save your settings.
