The note icon adjacent to an individual item will appear gray if there is no Tag configured, yellow if a Tag is assigned and red if a Tag contains important information.

To generate a red note icon, the title of the Tag must contain the word "Important" or "Reminder". The string is case-insensitive, but it must appear in the title of the Tag. Including these words in the body of the Tag will not change the color of the note icon.

Note: In the Monitor list, click the [Tag] symbol on the title bar above the note icons to sort by Tag color. Any special Monitors with important information can be sorted to the top of the list.

To apply a red note icon to any ipMonitor item:

1. Edit the item's tags by clicking the note icon.
2. Click Add Tag from the Tag Editor menu bar.
3. Under Name, input the value "Important - display as Red".
4. Under Value, enter any desired text.
5. Click OK to commit the new tag's values.
6. Click OK to save all the changes to the item.

ipMonitor supports the use of Custom Tags to add notes and important information to Monitors, Groups, Alerts, Profiles, Accounts, Credentials, Report Generators and Maintenance Schedules. Once an item is tagged, users are able to access and view the information attached to that item.
