ipMonitor includes an Internal Maintenance feature that allows you to perform reocurring maintenance actions on your ipMonitor installation.
Among the various available maintenance tasks is the ability to make a backup copy of all internal statistics data.
ipMonitor's reoccurring Internal Maintenance scheduler is hard-coded into the Maintenance Schedule list. To enable statistic data archiving, proceed with the following:
- Log in to the ipMonitor Administration web interface.
- Click the Automation menu option and select Maintenance Schedules, then click the Reoccurring ipMonitor Maintenance link.
- Place a checkmark in the Archive Statistics Data checkbox.
- The Zip File Pattern is filled in by default, however, you can change the path and file name where statistics data will be archived. Click the Token List button to insert a token into the file name. The token will be replaced with dynamic content when the file is generated.
- Select the desired Data reserved for Backfill option from the list provided.
Note: The size of the archived data, as well as the visual effects, should be taken into consideration when choosing one of the options. Visual effects result in less granular Report graphs, with fewer data points.
- Select the days of the week when the Internal Maintenance Schedule will run.
- Click OK to save your settings.
