Maintenance Schedules Help Suspend Monitors during Planned Outages

ipMonitor includes the ability to use Maintenance Schedules to temporarily disable monitoring of certain resources while you perform routine maintenance such as data back-ups, installing security patches, etc.

Example

To suspend Monitors during a planned outage:

  1. Click the Automation menu option and select Maintenance Schedules from the drop-down menu, then click the Add Maintenance Schedule menu option.
  2. Enter a Name for the new Maintenence Schedule, then select the Disable Monitors while actions outside of ipMonitor occur option.
  3. Specify the expected duration of the outage in the Disable Duration field.
  4. Select the desired Schedule for the new maintenance action.

  1. Click the Add Monitors or the Add Groups submenu option and choose the Groups or Monitors you want to add. Click Continue to save your choices.
  2. Click OK to save your Maintenance Schedule.
