Enabling ipMonitor's Audible Alarm

ipMonitor can be configured to trigger a sound when a failure is detected.

When the audible alarm is enabled, ipMonitor will play the selected sound as soon as the Monitor enters a warning state. Options are provided to allow you to choose from a number of different sounds. To use this feature, you'll need:

To enable the audible alarm:

  1. Log in to the Real-time and Historical Reports interface.
  2. From the Group Status, Details or NOC view, click the title bar to display the configuration menu options.
  3. Access the drop-down menu under the "Play this sound if failures are showing" option, then choose the desired sound.

  1. Click the "Save" button to apply the changes. If any Monitors are currently in a Warn, Fail or Lost state, the sound you've selected will automatically be played as the page is refreshed.

Note: To disable the alarm, simply select "none" from the "Play this sound if failures are showing" drop-down menu.
