ipMonitor includes a convenient Credentials Wizard to simplify the process of creating and organizing Credentials.

In addition to simplifying the process of creating a Credential, the Credentials Wizard allows you to apply a previously created Credential directly to the Monitor, Alert or Maintenance Action being configured.

The following example illustrates how to apply a previously created Credential to the LINK - QA Monitor.

Launch the Credentials Wizard:

1. Create a new LINK - QA Monitor.
2. Click the Select button to pop up the Credentials for Monitoring dialog.

Select a Credential:

1. Depending on the Monitor, Alert or Maintenance Action currently being configured, the Credentials Wizard will automatically display any Credentials previously created for the relevant category. In this example, the HTTP category is displayed. To view all existing Credentials, select All Categories from the drop-down box.

2. From the list of Credentials displayed, select the Credential to be used with the LINK - QA Monitor.
3. Click Continue.

All Credentials created using the Credentials Wizard are automatically assigned a category.

To assign a category to a Credential created using the Credentials Manager, or to change a Credential's category, simply launch the Credentials Manager feature from the Security menu option within ipMonitor's Administration interface.
