NOC View - Only Display Monitors in a Certain State

ipMonitor's NOC View provides the option to hide Monitors in a certain Monitor State, allowing you to focus only on those Monitors you wish to view.

The NOC View was designed to allow real-time status reports to be displayed in a network operations setting. Selected display data can be further enlarged by mousing over the specific Monitor data box. For quick, at-a-glance information, Monitors are color-coded by status and sorted by critical state.

You can fully control the Monitor States to be displayed by configuring your settings from the top drop-down bar.

Example

You may not be interested in viewing all the Monitors that are currently Up, or those that have been temporarily suspended for maintenance. Instead, you can choose to only display Monitors that have detected a problem and are currently in a Warn, Down, or Lost state.

  1. Click on the top bar while in Group Status - NOC View to drop down the configuration options.
  2. Select the following checkboxes: Hide Monitors that are disabled or suspended and Hide Monitors in Pass State (green).
  3. Click the 'Save' button.

Upon saving your settings, the page will automatically refresh to show only those Monitors you wish to view.

If the audible alarm has been enabled and you currently have Monitors in a Warn, Fail or Lost state, the selected sound will automatically be played as the page is refreshed. Click here for a tip on enabling ipMonitor's audible alarm.

Additional Information

The Details View also allows filtering by Monitor State, providing you with the ability to view only those Monitors currently in a certain operational state. The Group Status screen provides the same filtering option for viewing Groups.
