Using Guest Accounts

A Guest Account permits limited access to ipMonitor's web interface. Guests only have the ability to view reports. They do not have access to the Administration Interface, and they cannot change / save their own settings (this includes the ability to change their password).

The Guest Account allows an Administrator to create a common User Name and Password to provide access to the Reporting Interface without security concerns. Administrators can change the password of a Guest Account at any time.

An administrator may choose to demote a User to Guest status. A Guest Account can also be promoted to User status upon further Administrator configuration by clicking the Promote from Guest button located on the submenu of the Edit Account screen.
