ipMonitor's Quick Filter feature allows you to search for the existence of a Custom Tag, or for a Tag with a specific value. This ability makes it easy to quickly and efficiently manage and sort through your Monitors.
The Custom Tags feature allows you to add meta-data into your configuration, easing the long-term management of your network with ipMonitor. The search mechanism will find exact-string matches within Tags, and is case insensitive.
Note: Tag names do not have to be unique. You can create several Tags with the same name, and they will all be searched using the Quick Filter. For example, you can create several Tags named 'operator', specifying that multiple operators manage a Monitor. Each operator can then search for his own handle.
To use the Quick Filter, proceed with the following:

The Monitors List will automatically refresh to display only the Monitors that meet your search criteria.

Before populating Tags for the purpose of searching, we recommend determining what Tags will be used, as well as their corresponding values.
Examples:
Tag Name: operator
Values: hjames, glevar, hmacey, jlangler
Tag Name: changenotify
Values: hjames, glevar, hmacey, jlangler
Tag Name: importance
Values: low, medium, high, ultra
Tag Name: area
Values: ops, boston, rack01, rack02, rack03
