Maintenance Schedules can be used to set timing parameters for Monitors that need to watch over a resource only during specified intervals. By temporarily disabling monitoring during a specific time period, you can configure the Maintenance Schedule to initialize the Monitor only when required.
Two types of maintenance modes can be configured in ipMonitor, allowing you to:The latter can be used to force Monitors into a 'suspended' state for a period of time. This article describes how to force Monitors into maintenance mode, thereby allowing you to prevent Monitors from running when you don't want them to (on weekends, outside regular business hours, etc.).
Specifically, this process allows you to disable 24/7 monitoring of specific resources.
To monitor a resource outside business hours (between 6pm and 8am Monday to Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday), proceed with the following:

The inverse of the above scenario, configuring Monitors to run only during business hours, requires two Maintenance Schedules containing the desired Monitors. One Maintenance Schedule must be set to last all day on Saturday and Sunday. The other must place the Monitors in maintenance mode from 6pm to 8am (starting at 6pm and lasting 14 hours) on weekdays.
Note: When configuring Maintenance Schedules to act as monitoring timing parameters, you will need to indicate the length of time during which the Monitor must be disabled. The Monitor will be inactive for the duration specified in the 'Disable Duration' field and the 'Schedule' section. The rest of the time, the Monitor will function normally.
