The Custom Email Alert sends a fully configured email message to a list of recipients.
The message body, subject line and email headers can all be completely customized in accordance with the RFC 822 specification, which defines a standard format for electronic messages consisting of a set of header fields and an optional body.
Messages can be made complex and rich with formally-structured components of information or be kept small and simple, with a minimum of such information.

The Alert Parameters dialog box is used to specify the sender and recipient email addresses.

Send an Email Message To
Enter the recipient's email address. To send the Custom Email Alert to several recipients, click the And... button to add multiple email addresses.
Send Email From
The email address that the Custom Email Alert will be sent from. The default email address specified in Server Settings (if configured) will be displayed. Enter a new email address if you wish to change it.
The Custom Email Alert can be configured to send Failure Notification using text and ipMonitor Tokens.

Send Failure Notifications
If enabled, ipMonitor will send a Failure Notification message to the recipients specified in the Send an Email Message To field.

ipMonitor will use the values defined here to create email headers, subject line and message body for the Custom Email Alert. Text, numerical data and ipMonitor Alert Tokens are all valid content entries.
Token List
Click the Token List button to place a Token between alphanumeric characters, words, or sentences. When a Token is found, it is replaced with dynamic content.

The Custom Email Alert can be configured to send Recovery Notifications using text and ipMonitor Alert Tokens.

Send Recovery Notifications
If enabled, ipMonitor will send a Recovery Alert to the recipients specified in the Send an Email Message To field.

The Custom Email Alert can be configured to send Information Messages using text and ipMonitor Alert Tokens. Message Body content is received from a Content Generator used to format captured Event Log, SNMP Trap or File Watching Monitor data for readability or layout prior to passing it to the Alert.

If enabled, ipMonitor will send an Information Message to the recipients specified in the Send an Email Message To field.
