How do I Uninstall ipMonitor?

You can uninstall ipMonitor by clicking Add/Remove in the Add/Remove Programs control panel applet.

Warning! Do not manually delete your ipMonitor installation or reformat the ipMonitor host computer hard drive without first properly killing your ipMonitor license. Using improper procedures to uninstall ipMonitor will result in the permanent destruction of your Licensing Key.

In the event that you plan to take ipMonitor out of service (Park ipMonitor) for a period of time, you must first generate a legitimate KillCode:

  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Click Add or Remove Programs.
  3. Locate ipMonitor 8, then click Change.
  4. Click Next as needed, until you see the option to Remove.
  5. Click Remove, then click Next.
  6. From the Active License screen, click Kill License to generate a Kill Code.

This KillCode becomes your proof of ownership and is required to request a replacement Licensing Key from SolarWinds.Net.

For more information on Parking your ipMonitor License, refer to the Technical Reference section in your Administrator's Guide or the Context Sensitive help accessible from the ipMonitor web interface.
