Periodically, the ipMonitor Development team provides a new release or updated build for ipMonitor 8. These updates are designed to improve your ipMonitor installation by providing product adjustments, enhancements, new features and fixes.

To upgrade your installation to the latest build, proceed with the following:

1. Click the Quick Links menu option, then select System Status from the drop-down menu.
2. From the Updates tab, click the Scan for Updates button.
3. Select the protocol to use, then click Continue. Once the scan is complete, information regarding "ipMonitor 8, Build xxxx" will be displayed within the Updates from the ipMonitor Support Portal tab.
4. Click the Download link. The Change Log page will open in a new window, displaying detailed information on the new build. Click the Most Recent ipMonitor Build - ipMonitor 8, Build xxxx link to download the installation bundle.
5. Launch the ipm8setup.exe file once it has finished downloading.
6. Click Yes when prompted to confirm that you would like to upgrade the current installation.

New builds are fully compatible with existing versions of ipMonitor 8 and will not negatively impact your current installation. Your settings, configured Monitors, Alerts, and Reports will remain the same.

Note: You cannot remove the update after installing it. To revert to an earlier installation, you must remove ipMonitor 8 and then reinstall it.
