Q: How does Licensing Work?
A: ipMonitor is available in 500, 1000, 1500 and 5000 Monitor Licenses. For example, based on an average of 5 monitors per computer or device, that's enough monitors to watch 100, 200, 300 or 1000 individual computers or devices on your network from a single ipMonitor installation.
Q: How are Monitors Counted?
A: Licenses are sold based on the number of Monitors that can be created and configured. For example, ipMonitor does not differentiate between a PING Monitor, SNMP Monitor or Quality Assurance SQL Monitor. Each Monitor you configure (no matter how sophisticated) counts as one Monitor.
Q: Do I have to buy extra Agents or Add-ons with ipMonitor?
A: With ipMonitor, there is no need to buy extra Agents or Add-ons. Advanced Quality Assurance Monitors that let you perform multiple transaction tests, measure response time and analyze query results and email round-trip results for applications such as Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Exchange Server are included at no extra cost.
Q: What level of functionality does the Trial offer?
A: The full feature set is available in the Trial version - nothing is held back or disabled. The Trial version permits 500 monitors to be created.
Unlicensed, ipMonitor will run in Trial mode for a period of 21-days from the time it is installed. The Trial can be upgraded at any time by purchasing a License. Click here to download the trial.
Q: What is included in the Service Plan?
A: The Service Plan entitles you to receive email and telephone support for a period of 1 year from the day ipMonitor was purchased. (Support hours are 9am to 5pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday except on statutory holidays). You are also entitled to any updates, upgrades and fixes that ipMonitor releases for a period of 1 year from the day ipMonitor was purchased.
Q: When I install the full version of ipMonitor, will my Trial version and data be deleted?
A: No data will be deleted. When you purchase ipMonitor, you will be given a Licensing Key. After that, ipMonitor will operate in licensed mode (it will no longer be subject to the 21-day limitation).
The Licensing Key also controls the number of Monitors ipMonitor is licensed to monitor. This lets you increase the number of Monitors your installation supports to 1000, 1500 or 5000 at any time.
Q: What Other Payment Options are Available?
A: In addition to paying by Credit Card, you can also pay by check. A bonded courier service is highly recommended to ensure that your check arrives quickly and safely. International customers must draw the check from a US bank in US funds.
If you are with a government organization, educational facility or Global 2000 firm and are unable to pay by credit card, please contact sales for Electronic Wire Transfer or Purchase Order payment instructions.
