ipMonitor 8.06, Build 1130 Change Log (08 February 2007)
This major build includes updates to address the release of Microsoft® Windows® Vista and North America's new Daylight Savings rules. In addition, this build also makes available a number of corrections released in previous Hotfixes. These include corrections for two memory leaks and two user interface regressions within Live Status Reports.
New Features and Enhancements
- ipMonitor is now Vista ready. The Install, Uninstall, and Configuration Programs will correctly work with User Account Control (UAC). Services and internal executables are not affected by UAC.
- ipMonitor is now enabled to handle North American Time Zone changes (occurring in March, 2007). Both the Monitoring and the Reporting Services will correctly perform date manipulation and interpretation on all supported Windows Operating Systems, including Windows 2000.
- Bandwidth Monitors, when added via the Server Scan, will no longer default to selecting "loop back" and "tunnel" interfaces for addition. Instead, these Monitors will default to unique interfaces ordered by their physical address. Adding these interfaces will require users to select the appropriate interface.
Corrections
- The SQL Server Monitor will now correctly display the "Minimum SQL Memory" value when the "Verify..." button is clicked.
- Corrected a memory leak within the Monitoring Service that would occur when using a Disk Publisher to save a configured Report to disk.
- Corrected a memory leak within the Reporting Service that would occur during regular use on each request to generate a new Report.
- Live Status Views will now respect the page refresh values. Build 1121 included a user interface regression, which prevented the Live Status views from refreshing at the desired intervals.
- Live Status Views will now correctly navigate to Groups. Build 1121 included a user interface regression, which prevented access to Groups with an ID larger than 15 decimal digits (due to a JavaScript limitation).
